Q1 Why did you apply for a permanent residence visa?　

I first arrived in Japan in 2006 as an Assistant Language Teacher, and it was during that time that I realized I wanted to make Japan my permanent home. To achieve this, I decided to pursue graduate studies and return as a university English teacher. Since then, I have been living in Japan under either a professor or highly skilled professional visa. As soon as I met the eligibility requirements for permanent residency, I decided to apply.

Q2 What do you want to do after getting permission?

Now having my permanent resident visa, my goal is to continue working as a university English teacher and, one day, open a small English school.

The certificate may be inappropriate.. There were a few problems with the "Certificate of Employment" issued by the university in terms of application documents, so I provided the university with the format to have it reissued. I think this was an important factor in obtaining permission.

Q1 Why did you apply for a permanent residence visa?　

I originally came to Japan to support my wife, whose company had transferred her from Europe to their Osaka office. The transfer was originally intended to be temporary, but because of various circumstances beyond our control, the years passed by. II want to continue working and, I hope, continue contributing positively to Japanese society.

After applying, there were two cases where I had to report to the Immigration Bureau, such as a transfer. In both cases, I thought I could recover if I could provide a sufficient explanation and proof. In such cases, there is no problem if you respond calmly while keeping in contact with the Immigration Bureau. After consulting with the examiner, I carefully and promptly submitted the documents and was able to obtain permission.

9年前に自分で永住許可申請をしましたが、不許可になりました。6年前に子どもが生まれ、友達も仕事関係も全てが日本にあります。今後も、日本で仕事を続け、永続的に妻子と日本で安定した生活を送ることを願って、永住許可申請をしました。

Q２ 許可後は、どんなことがしたいですか？

優しい気持ちと感謝の気持ちを持って日本社会で暮らし、仕事をもっと頑張って、少しでも日本社会に貢献できるように努めたいです。将来的に、日本で受けた恩を返すため、子どもは日中友好交流の架橋となるような人材に育てたいです。

Q３ 永住ビザ申請に際して、心配していたことはありますか？

日本会社に就職しましたが、会社の業務命令によって、中国に出張することが多いです。過去3年間は、中国への渡航日数が年間300日を超えています。中国への渡航日数が多いのがとても心配でした。

Q４ 小原行政書士事務所を選んだ理由はどのようなものですか？

昨年、入管の窓口で審査官に相談したところ、専門家に相談することを勧められました。

三つあります。（１）永住申請では、入管のホームページに記載された提出書類だけではなく、さまざまな書類を集めたり、作成したりする必要があります。小原先生は、追加できるあらゆる書類を考えてくれたり、書き方の見本を作ってくれたりするような指導をしてくれました。（２）日本語で書いた書類を全部チェックして、正しい文章に修正してくれました。（３）メールの返信や、電話での対応が早いです。

Q６ 最後に何かコメントがあればお願いします。

日本の滞在日数が少ないため、永住許可が取れるのかとても心配していました。しかし、小原先生はゴールまで段取りよく指導してくれました。また、たくさんの書類を集めるのは大変でしたが、小原先生がいろいろなアドバイスをしてくれました。それで、書類を準備するのが楽になって、スムーズに用意することができました。

一人で戦うのは大変です。皆さんも、一緒に戦ってくれる専門家の協力があれば、良い結果がいつか出るかもしれないです。

一般的には年間渡航日数が100日を超えると永住ビザを取得するのは難しいといわれますが、これは通説であって、そのような基準があるわけではありません。生活基盤が日本にあることを具体的かつ詳細に主張立証できれば、許可の可能性があります。
